Immersive In-Store Experience


To illustrate why being an NBA and 2K fan is better with Amex, we created a first of its kind IRL pop-up experience for Amex members and prospects - an Amex NBA2K22 shop. The multi-day pop-up cemented Amex’s role in the NBA, 2K and gaming community by bringing sought-after digital merchandise (using Virtual Currency to purchase) from the game to an IRL shop to be browsed and redeemed for free.

Programming inside the space included digital display of in-game merchandise items via Locker Codes, high-quality photo opportunity to upgrade members’ MyPlayer Face Scan in the video game, physical merch display as well as an interactive Infinity Cube with NBA2K22 content, and live game play with NBA talent.
